There's an interesting bug which makes the scary scarier, but at the same time saves you from seeing how gnarly necromorphs (the enemies you face) are. I suppose not knowing is better than knowing in some situations, but Dead Space is the kind of game that puts you on an uneasy position throughout. Nothing is repeated twice (or so I can remember), so predictability is hard if you're first introduced to the game, or like me, haven't played since 2008. Memory isn't my best companion when it comes to the order of events, but what I do remember is how the entire game kept me on my toes throughout, and it's no different from the remake. Really, the game remake is the true definition of a remake, and one I didn't know I needed, despite how uncomfortable the game has made me. It's one of those titles that kept me alert at all times, uncomfortable and yet wanting to unravel more of what happened before setting foot on the USG Ishimura (the prime setting of the game). Honestly, if any of who reads this is a fan of horror, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to pick it up. It's just one of those titles that leaves a mark. Like the original that was released in 2008 and the current remake, it still captures the same essence of what Dead Space is about. So if you're curious, let the cat out.
